Sewing 101 - Workshop For Adults & Teens - Four Wednesday Evening Sessions Starting February 5
Master the Basics of Sewing for Adults & Teens!
Workshop Description:
Join our sewing workshop in Los Angeles County for beginners!
Our immersive sewing class offers hands-on instruction and walks you through the essential skills to start you on your sewing journey. A general outline of the class is as follows:
Week 1 - Sewing basics, supplies, getting to know the sewing machine, practice sewing straight lines, starting on your tote bag (the lining).
Week 2 - Continue working on your tote bag including the outside, handles and final assembly. We’ll talk about which sides of the fabric to sew on, how the assembly works and practice top stitching.
Week 3 - Make a custom pillowcase while continuing to practice sewing straight seams. We’ll finish it off with French seams.
Week 4 - Zippers! They aren’t as hard as you think and we’ll learn some basics while you make a zipper pouch. You’ll also learn about boxed corners.
We have some fabric available for you to use for your projects or you can purchase from the shop if something catches your eye.
